The Aero Avante (エアロアバンテ) is a Mini 4WD REV car released by Tamiya in 2012. It is the first release in the Mini 4WD Rev series and is one of the variants of Avante Jr..
It was chosen for the Giant Mini 4WD Project to create the life-size Aero Avante car.
General Info
The Aero Avante featuring more futuristic and sharper body design. There's the pair of bargeboards on the front and there's the Formula-1-inspired rear wing attached to the main bodyshell.
In addition of the canopy side air-ducts that were borrowed from Super Avante, there's also one air-duct on the front. Those air-ducts are designed in that way so the AR Chassis will have higher heat-dissipation.
It is mainly in blue, with white and carbon-mesh strips on it.
It comes with the metal gray 5-spokes, low-profile small-diameter wheels with flat tires. The chassis is molded completely in black. It should be note that the Aero Avante comes with the Mini 4WD Starter Pack AR Speed Spec have the blue wheels and blue sub-parts instead.
Color and clear specials
So far, there's six different special color models: Red Special, Clear Blue Special, Clear Orange Special, Violet Special, Clear Red Special and Clear Pink Special. While the colors of the bodyshells and chassis parts are different on each model, the bodyshell still carries the same decal pattern of the original model.
The Red Special comes with the red bodyshell, red chassis sub-parts and bronze-colored wheel, while the others comes with the clear bodyshells and different color car parts depends on the models.
Only Clear Red Special and Clear Pink Special are event-exclusives. (Japan Cup 2014 for Clear Red Special and Tamiya Modeler Gallery 2014 for Clear Pink Special)
