The final season, ''MAX'', follows the brothers Gouki and Retsuya. Gouki Ichimonji is a student of the Borzoi Racing Academy, where for the students, Mini 4WD racing is to battle and destroy each other. Gouki gets sacked for not using his machine, Max Breaker, for battle racing. Gouki leaves the school and his younger brother Retsuya behind and goes to stay with his uncle. In Gouki's racing career as he meets Marina, a mysterious and serious girl who owns a vicious racing machine, Fire Stinger. The story follows the journey of Gouki, Retsuya, Marina and their progress in their quest to eventually triumph over Borzoi and his Academy and their immoral ways of racing.

Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go! MAX (Japanese: 爆走兄弟レッツ&ゴー!! MAX, Bakusō Kyōdai Rettsu Endo Gō!! MAX) is a manga series created by Tetsuhiro Koshita and published on Shogakukan's CoroCoro Comic from January 1998 to September 9, 1999. It is the third series (after the original series and the WGP arc) in the Let's & Go! series.

A TV anime adaptation, produced by XEBEC, was aired on TV Tokyo from January 5, 1998 to December 21, 1998.

Overview
