The Falcon Junior (Japanese: ファルコンJr., Farukon Junia) is a Racing Mini 4WD car released by Tamiya on June 27, 1987. It was based the 1/10 The Falcon R/C buggy by the same company.
A customized version of the Falcon Jr., known as the Turbo Falcon, was featured in the manga and anime Dash! Yonkuro as Shinkuro Minami's machine. It was replaced by the Dash-3 Shooting Star in the series. In the same series, Kouji 'Punkuro' Jimi borrowed a spare Falcon Jr. from Shinkuro when his Super Dragon Jr. got sloten by the thugs.
General info[]
As its name implies, the Falcon has the open-cockpit body design that was inspired by a falcon. The bodyshell is in the two-tone colors. Cone-type headlights were attached just on the front of the cockpit and the absorber props can be found on near the wheels. The decals can be seen on the bodyshell, such as car number 5 on the front nose and a 'Born to be Wild' decal on the rear spoiler.
It is mainly in black and red, with orange and yellow trims on it.
It is equipped with the white, meduim diameter 4-spoke Hotshot-type wheels with the black spike tires. The chassis was molded in black.
About The Falcon 1/10 R/C buggy[]
Released in 1986, The Falcon is a entry-level RWD R/C buggy released by Tamiya.
Unlike the Grasshopper and the Hornet, The Falcon has individual dampers on each wheels. It has the ABS-made, bathtub monocoque chassis, supported by the front double-wishbone suspensions and the rear full-trailing arm suspensions. It is powered by a Mabuchi-made RS-540S motor.
It has the front 4-groove tires and the rear spike tires by default.

Dash! Yonkuro[]
In the series, Shinkuro has a Falcon Jr. which was heavily customized to includes a counter gear in between the two short-length propeller shafts (to stabilize the car during landing), and four N-size batteries.
