The Fire Stinger (Japanese: ファイヤースティンガー, Faiyā Sutingā) is a Fully Cowled Mini 4WD car released by Tamiya in April 1998.
It was featured in the anime adaptation of Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go! MAX as Marina Ogami's machine.
General info[]
The Fire Stinger is essentially a Ray Stinger with the silver and red flame-styled body decals, with blue highlight and the gold colored two-piece canopy.
Two pair of circle-shaped air intakes, which was presented on the Ray Stinger, has been removed. In addition, the overall body design has received minor redesigns.
It was equipped with the white, small diameter 6-spoke TZ-type wheels paired with the black high profile slick tires. The chassis frame and A parts were molded in black. It doesn't come with a motor.

Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go! MAX[]
The Fire Stinger was Marina Ogami's first machine in the series. The car was based on Ray Stinger, a machine created by her father Dr.Ogami.
Although it didn't have the infrared light reaction mechanism like the Ray Stinger has, the Fire Stinger is still nonetheless a battle race machine. It is capable of firing flames from its front nose hole, side-jets and the upper part front and rear cowls. It can go faster by using the flame-firing mechanism on the rear cowls as the thrusters. The Fire Stinger can even use its flames as a barrier. Its special technique is the 'Flame Bird', in which the Fire Stinger is covered in flames that was in the shape of a phoenix.
Of course, its flame-firing equipments are not unlimited, and is usually use the gas (Stored inside the small tanks that were attached under the bodyshell) as the source, thus Marina has to refills the car's gas tanks on few ocassions. Furthermore, it was known that its flame-firing equipments will causes the whole car to overheats.
The Fire Stinger was later modified into Phoenix Stinger as Marina joins the Borzoi Racers after having reunited with her father.
