The Fire Stinger was Marina Ogami's first machine in the series. The car was based on Ray Stinger, a machine created by her father Dr.Ogami.

Although it didn't have the infrared light reaction mechanism like the Ray Stinger has, the Fire Stinger is still nonetheless a battle race machine. It is capable of firing flames from its front nose hole, side-jets and the upper part front and rear cowls. It can go faster by using the flame-firing mechanism on the rear cowls as the thrusters. The Fire Stinger can even use its flames as a barrier. Its special technique is the 'Flame Bird', in which the Fire Stinger is covered in flames that was in the shape of a phoenix.

Of course, its flame-firing equipments are not unlimited, and is usually use the gas (Stored inside the small tanks that were attached under the bodyshell) as the source, thus Marina has to refills the car's gas tanks on few ocassions. Furthermore, it was known that its flame-firing equipments will causes the whole car to overheats.

The Fire Stinger was later modified into Phoenix Stinger as Marina joins the Borzoi Racers after having reunited with her father.
