The Footwork FA13 Mugen Honda (Japanese: フットワーク FA13 無限ホンダ, Futtowāku Efue ̄ Jyusan Mugen Honda) is a Mini-F car released by Tamiya in 1992.
It was based on the Footwork FA13 Formula One car that was used in the 1992 Formula One World Championship season.
General info[]
The 191 features the low-height, open-wheel body design that is mostly shared with other Mini-F cars that were based on Formula One cars, though it has the raised nose that is similar to that of Jordan 191. The bodyshell has the non-removable driver figurine.
It was mainly in white with red accents. Various sponsors, including BP and Toshiba, can be found on the bodyshell.
It was equipped with the gun metal, medium diameter Mini-F wheels paired with the Mini-F slick tires.
About the Footwork FA13[]
Introduced for the 1992 season, the Footwork FA13 is the successor to the Footwork Arrows team's FA12.
Although not much is know about the exact specs of the car, its carbon monocoque chassis was designed by Alan Jenkins. Powering the car is a 3.5 liter Mugen Honda MF-351H natural-aspirated V10 engine that was mated to a Footwork/Xtrac 6-Speed gearbox.
The FA13 was later upgraded into the FA13B for the first two grand prix in the following year, before being replaced by the FA14.
