The Grasshopper Junior (Japanese: グラスホッパーJr., Gurasuhoppā Junia) is an upcoming Racing Mini 4WD car released by Tamiya on December 7, 2024.
It was based on the 1/10 scale Grasshopper R/C buggy by the company.
General info[]

It has a 'Grasshopper' decal on the rear spoiler, the 'Grasshopper Racing Team' on the side cowls, a 'Grasshopper' decal on the front nose, as well as a 'Tamiya' decal on the roof. It has the car number 35.
Standard model[]
The standard model has the white bodyshell, with the red, green and black stripes on it.
It was equipped with the white, large diameter 5-spoke TZ Fully-Cowled Type wheels paired with the black Avante-type slick tires. The chassis frame and A parts were molded in black
About the Grasshopper 1/10 R/C buggy[]
Released in May 14, 1984, the Grasshopper is Tamiya's 1/10 scale, rear-wheel-drive R/C buggy. It is the first model in the Grasshopper line of R/C buggies.
It has the lightweight, strong monocoque bathtub chassis, housing the mechanical speed controller, the radio receiver and the longitudinally placed battery. It has the solid axle rear-wheel-drive drivetrain.
The Grasshopper has the four-wheel coil spring suspensions. A 380-size motor is mounted into the rear gearbox transversely. It has the front grooved tires and the rear paddle-style tires.
The Grasshopper was re-released twice with the ESC instead of the mechanical speed controller, one in 2005 and one in 2015.
Whereas the Grasshopper II got its Mini 4WD counterpart first, it took decades for the Grasshopper to receive the Mini 4WD counterpart of its own, albeit with a more modern VZ Chassis.
