The Hexagonite (Japanese: ヘキサゴナイト, Hekisagonaito) is a Mini 4WD PRO car that was released on December 22, 2018.
Prior to its general release, it was made available as a event-exclusive at Tamiya's Chrismas Festa 2018 tournament (Located at Twin Messe Shizuoka) and Mini 4WD Championship tournament (Located at Tamiya Japan HQ) that were held on December 8 to 9 and December 9 respectively.
One of the winner designs in the 2018 Mini 4WD Design Contest, it was designed by Tatsunori Ito.
General info
The Hexagonite featuring the fully-cowled body design that is inspired by the SUV. The shape of hexagon is the main motif of the car, as most part of the bodyshell has sharp edge that resembles that of the hexagon. There's also a large spoiler on the rear.
Standard variant
The bodyshell of the standard variant was mainly in light green and black, with the black rooftop on the center and two vertical white stripes running through the body.
It was equipped with the silver, small diameter low-profile 5-spoke Saber-type wheels paired with the black super-hard low-profile tires. The chassis frame and A parts were molded in light gray and light green respectively.
Black Special
The Black Special features the smoke bodyshell with altered body decals.
It was equipped with the orange, small diameter low-profile 5-spoke Saber-type wheels paired with the black super-hard low-profile tires. The chassis frame and A parts were molded in orange and black respectively.
