About the Isuzu VehiCROSS[]
Originally unveiled as a concept vehicle at the 1993 Tokyo International Auto Show and entered production in 1997, the VehiCROSS is a compact SUV manufactured by Isuzu.
Powering the car is the Isuzu V series engines, with the 3.2 liter 6VD1 natural-aspirated V6 petrol engine and a 3.5 liter 6VE1 natural-aspirated V6 engine. The engine is mated to a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The VehiCROSS is offered in either the 2WD or the 4WD configuration, and for the latter, Isuzu combined a computer-controlled AWD system for on-road driving and a low-gear 4WD system for off-road driving, and with up to 12 independent sensor (in the US model), the car can detect wheel spin and redirect power to the wheels with the most traction, giving it a high level of traction on road with inconsistent tractions.
Supporting its body-on-frame chassis is the front double-wishbone suspensions and the rear multi-link suspensions. Braking power is provided by the ventilated disc brakes on all four wheels.
