The Jordan 191 (Japanese: ジョーダン 191, Jōdan Ichikyuichi) is a Mini-F car released by Tamiya in 1992.
It was based on the Jordan 191 Formula One car that was used in the 1991 Formula One World Championship season.
General info[]
The 191 features the low-height, open-wheel body design that is mostly shared with other Mini-F cars that were based on Formula One cars, though it has the raised nose that is different from the one on the Tyrrell 020. The bodyshell has the non-removable driver figurine.
The bodyshell is mainly in the two-tone green and blue with green dominates the body. Various sponsors, including 7-Up, Fujifilm, Brooksfield, Ireland, Ford, BP and Good Year, can be found on the bodyshell.
It was equipped with the gun metal, medium diameter Mini-F wheels paired with the Mini-F slick tires.
About the Jordan 191[]
Introduced for the 1991 season, the 191 was Jordan Grand Prix's first Formula One car.
The 191 has the carbon fiber monocoque chassis that was supported by the 4-wheel independent double wishbones suspensions with pushrod dampers. Powering the car is a 3.5 liter Ford HBA4 natural-aspirated V8 engine that was mated to a Jordan/Hewland 6-speed manual gearbox.
It was later superseded by the 192 for the following 1992 season.
