The Laser-Gill (Japanese: レイザーギル, Reizā Giru) is a Mighty Mini 4WD car released by Tamiya on December 9, 1998.

It was featured in Mini 4 Kids as Jack's machine.

General info[]

Inspired by the killer shark, the Laser-Gill features the low-height, open-wheel body design, with the front narrow cockpit and the large rear sharp cowls that shaped like shark's fins. There's a vertical fin, shaped to be like a shark's fin, placed behind the cockpit. There's also gills and large air-intakes on the bodyshells that can dissipate the heats from the motor and batteries.

It also comes with the plastic bargeboard, which can be attached onto the chassis's frame. However, it cannot be attached to Super XX Chassis without modification.

All variants were equipped with the large diameter, 3-spoke Mighty-type wheels paired with arched tires.

Standard model[]

The standard Laser-Gill features the blue body color, with red/yellow highlights.

It was equipped with the white wheels and black tires. The chassis frame and A parts were molded in black. It doesn't come with a motor.

Super XX Special[]

The limited Super XX Special features the blue-ish gray beige smoke body color.

It was equipped with the fluorescent green wheel with the dark blue, hard-compound tires. The Super XX Chassis frame and A parts were molded in carbon-mixed nylon material.

Under the order of the organization's boss, Jack challenged both Kakeru's Dyna-Hawk GX and Kit Cross-Tiger VR in a race. Despite having equipped with the laser weapon, the Laser-Gill ultimately lose the race. Following this, Jack quits the organization and remove the weaponary from the Laser-Gill, and was equipped with the A.T.S.F bargeboard supplied by Kubota.
