ME Chassis

The ME Chassis (Japanese: MEシャーシ, Emuii Shāshi) is a Mini 4WD chassis released by Tamiya in January 2026. The "ME" stands for "Midship Evolution".

It was first equipped with Raizzan.

General info

The ME Chassis is mid-motor chassis that is essentially a mix between the MA Chassis and the VZ Chassis.

Like the VZ Chassis, the A parts are molded in the standard ABS plastic and include a separate low-friction plastic bearing set that minimizes power loss. Similar to the MA Chassis, it has a single slide-locking motor/gear cover. The chassis is a bit lighter than the MA Chassis at 117 g.

The ME Chassis is also the first mid-motor chassis with the user-removable front bumper and rear stay that are attached to the main chassis frame with truss screws, allowing racers to convert it to a bumper-less setup without the need for cutting or other such destructive modifications. Like the VZ Chassis, it doesn't come with any skid bar by default. The removable bumper/rear stay setup also has the benefit of allowing cars based on real-world vehicles to better resemble their actual counterparts, as well as in show-quality setups where the use of bumpers and/or rear stays may be deemed unnecessary or distracting.

Performance-wise, the ME Chassis is similar to that of MA Chassis, but stability suffer a little due to the lacks of skid bar on the rear.
