About the Mad Bull 1/10 R/C buggy[]
Released in 1997, the Mad Bull is a rear-wheel-drive R/C buggy produced by Tamiya. It shares the same bodyshell with the Grasshopper II.
The DT-01 chassis, which is the evolution of the eariler 2WD buggy chassis, has similar chassis layout with its predecessor; The motor was mounted to the rear movable gearbox which transfers power to the rear wheels, the battery was placed transversely, electronic speed controller and steering servo were packed into the bathtub monocoque chassis and is support by the front swing arm supensions and rear center pivot type rolling supension, with 4 independent coil-spring dampers.
Unlike the other DT-01 buggies, the Mad Bull was equipped with the oversized monster-size wheels and tires, which is a unusual wheel setup for a RWD R/C buggy.
The Mad Bull was re-released in 2011, with the red-colored Expert Build series pre-assembled kit packaged with R/C system in March and the black-colored assemble kit in August.
