Hi, I'm Sannse one of the Fandom staff team. We've been looking at some of the wikis that are currently categorized as "Lifestyle". We would like to move away from lumping together so many varied wikis, and give them a more accurate category. In your case, we have classified this wiki as "Collectibles".
The hope is that with wikis grouped into smaller more focused groups, we can give better and more personalized support. For example, we can give help with wiki design, advice on search engine optimization, and generally just be around for any questions and other needs you have.
We have a short survey that will help us understand what your needs are, and where we can best focus to help you keep building your wiki. I hope you'll participate and let us know what you need. You'll find that here
I'll be your primary contact, with the rest of the Exploration and Innovation Team ready to jump in and help where we can. I look forward to working with you! And if you have any questions, please let me know!
Well, I haven't add the character articles in the wiki yet, as I don't have the best format guideline for it and the fact that there are so many characters from all the media works. (not just Dash! Yonkuro and Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go!.)
Hi The first image is definitely not the right shape. The second one is, but it will be displayed very small -- about 100x50 px. So I think the detail will be lost. Do you by any chance have a nice horizontal image of just one car? I think that would show up best.
If you mean inserting images into the infobox of a Mini 4WD car article, then the answer is no if the image wasn't from Tamiya websites (or their official social accounts) or Shogakukan and ShoPro's publications (Either in raw or scanlated).
If you mean inserting images into the Gallery section of the article, then the answer is yes, as long as you inserting them into the Custom models sub-header of the Gallery section, as per the wiki's policies.
Just FYI, there is a typo in the template name: Template:Notice Ficitonal car should be Template:Notice fictional car. Also since the template is protected, I can't fix a grammar mistake there, where: "This is the article about a fictional Mini 4WD car. Remove this notice if the car has the Mini 4WD kit release by Tamiya" should be "This article is about a fictional Mini 4WD car Remove this notice if the car has a Mini 4WD kit released by Tamiya". Thanks.
OK, I noticed something, you still didn't fix the typo - only the capitalization was changed. The "new" template name is still typoed. For the record, in the word "fictional", the "t" comes before the "i". You did it right in the template text.
Oh, and now you forgot the dot in the "Remove this notice if the car has a Mini 4WD kit released by Tamiya." part.
Hello, Thank you for putting your time and effort into this Wikia, i'm a hardcore mini 4wd fan and rarely do i find people of that kind of interest especially in mini 4wd car history and info about the aime and manga series. And theres no detailed website that has mini 4wd info.. been looking for one like your wikia for a very long time. one of the funny things actually, ive loved mini 4wd all my life and during those 25 years, i only discovered that theres a special dash yokuro episode only 2 days ago Thanks to your wiki. do you have any info/link to where i can watch it?.

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately, I don't have any info/link to the anime special itself, other than the fact that it was, like the main TV series itself, adapted from the original manga.
Unlike the much more popular Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go! series, Dash! Yonkuro didn't have the home DVD or Blu-ray releases and only has VHS release. The closer we get is the one-time web broadcast marathon that happened on NicoNico on March last year (and this doesn't includes the anime special).
I still have a long way to go, as I felt that there's a lot more to do on the wiki.
Oh yes i agree, you're probably the only one that actually shed light on Dash yonkuro and have detailed info about it. If i ever came across any info I'll me sure to let you know. Also, i happen to come across Shin Dash yonkuro in on of your related topics, though there was no page made for that. Inever heard of Shin dash yonkuro, was it a spinoff or sequel?
As far as I know, Shin Dash! Yonkuro is a poster manga and is a sequel to Dash! Yonkuro. It was also included in some of the Racing Mini 4WD special kits (Specifically the special kits of Dash! Yonkuro cars).
Unfortunately, said manga was canceled due to Tokuda's declining health and later his death in 2006. You can read whole manga here.
There is one problem the Mini 4WD wiki is having right now: Since most of the Mini 4WD-focused manga were not scanlated or not having tankoubon at all, it is really difficult for me to write the Mini 4WD cars that were featured in some of those manga. I will give Variatron as a example of this. (It takes me to read some Japanese articles to complete it.)
It is okay to write articles for Mini 4WD cars that wasn't featured in any of the lessen known Mini 4WD media.
We were wondering if it's okay with you if we, the team, would also contribute to your wiki regarding Mini 4WDs. We've been setting up and researching mini 4wds since 1998 and have been continuously experimenting on chassis set ups, builds, and development. So far, we have a good library of knowledge to share to the wiki and would be more than happy to help you complete the list of kits as well as contribute pictures and documentations of the different chassis archetypes. That would include the F1 and TR-1 chassis. We may also begin contributing, with your permission, other brands and their equivalent chassis types when available; Auldey being one of them. I also noticed that you have some grammar lapses on certain articles as well. We'd be more than happy to do edits and allow the wiki to grow. We hope you consider our proposal to help.

We decided to make this account specifically to help you with this wiki so we hope you don't find it suspicious because it's new.
No problem! I was glad that you guys helping me to contributes this wiki. Yeah, I admit that I kinda have some grammar problems.
Regarding Mini 4WD cars from other brands such as Auldey, I think it is best not to lists them on the wiki as some of those companies have infringed IPs of both Tamiya and ShoPro. (ShoPro owns the manga and anime series that featuring Mini 4WD cars, minds you.)
Oh! This wiki isn't just for the cars, but the Grade-Up Parts for Mini 4WD cars as well.
Alright. We'll refrain from posting Auldey models. Though the idea was to originally just post their homegrown chassis and specifications. But, then again, you have a really good point about the infringements and the team wouldn't want the wiki itself to be in trouble. Should we have any chassis with other specifications which do not fall into the legal bucket, could we propose it to you first and have you approve the post before creating the article?
Of course, I am a founder and a admin, you should ask me first.
Anyway, I noticed that you misused the word 'cowl'. 'Cowl' means the frontal parts of the bodyshell. So as a reminder, you guys should correct those so it will not causing confusion for readers. (Tamiya's english website even list the upper parts of the minicar as 'bodyshell' instead of 'cowl'.).
Also, It should be note that some of the early Racing Mini 4WD cars are based on R/C buggies (Namely the Dragon series, Avante Jr. Hotshot Jr. etc.).
Got it. We'll calibrate and update the records to reflect Bodyshell instead.
We were aware that most kits were based off of the R/C Buggy models from 1983 to 1986. We're still looking into further researching about simulating the suspension systems from them onto mini 4wd designs though the placement causes awkward modifications or simply made it far too fragile. Anyway, I'll recheck the edits I did and ensure that it is calibrated with what you had said. Thanks for the reminder.
