The Midnight Pumpkin Junior (Japanese: ミッドナイトパンプキン Jr., Middonaito Panpukin Junia) is a Wild Mini 4WD car released by Tamiya on February 29, 1988.

It was based on Tamiya's 1/12 scale electric R/C monster truck Midnight Pumpkin.

General info[]

The Midnight Pumpkin featuring the classical 50's pickup truck body design. On the front, there's a large row-type grills, a pair of circle-type headlamps and a large silver bumper. On behind the cab, there's the roll bars with additional lights attached. The overall design resembles the second-generation Ford F-100.

It was mainly in black body color, with the blue flame-styled decals on it.

It was equipped with the standard wild-type wheels with monster truck tires.

About the 1/12 R/C monster truck Midnight Pumpkin[]

Released on December 9, 1987, the Midnight Pumpkin was Tamiya's electric-powered R/C monster truck. It utilizes the Grasshopper-chassis-based CW-01 chassis, having previously equipped to the Lunch Box a few years prior.

For the Midnight Pumpkin, almost all of the chassis parts are the same as the Lunch Box, with the exception of the mechanical speed controller; the mechanical speed controller set has been replaced with the one with longer wires.

Starting on March 15, 2006, Tamiya start re-releases the Midnight Pumpkin in various color favors, with the original black colored one being re-released as the Black Edition model.
