Mini4King (Japanese: MINI4KING (ミニヨンキング), Mini 4 kingu) is a manga series created by Hiroyuki Takei and written by Yuki Imada. It was serialized on Shogakukan's CoroCoro Comic from August 12, 2021 to April 15, 2023. It was later moved to web-only Weekly CoroCoro Comic on CoroCoro Online site starting December 17, 2022.
Starting from September 17, 2021, the motion comic version of the manga will be uploaded to Tamiya's official Mini 4WD Youtube Channel, with new chapters being published on monthly basic.

The story begins a year before the fated Atami Grand Prix.
Mota Kudo, a new transfer student who just enrolled in a school in Atami, has a Mini 4WD car called the Lord Spirit, which has been with him since he was a child. With how out-of-ordinary his car tuning is, Mota had attracted numerous Mini 4WD racers, who think that he is worthy of being a 'King' of Mini 4WD.
This is a story of who will be the Mini 4WD King.

| At the Atami Grand Prix, a large crowd was gathered to see something exciting: The Mini 4WD racing. There is one newcomer who participates in this race: Mota Kudo and his Lord Spirit. The story started a year ago when Mota, along with his mother, settled in Atami. His mother works at Tatsu no Yu, a Japanese-style Inn, while Mota himself was transferred to the nearby school. On the first day at school in Atami, however, he was met by Futoshi Nukumizawa, the son of Nukumizawa Onsen's owner and a bully to other classmates. Futoshi tried to invite Mota into letting his Mini 4WD car running on the human bridges, but the latter rejects out of sympathy to the bullied students. Futoshi keep bragging about himself being the boss in the school, but Mota ignores him and comfort the bullied students. This makes Futoshi very furious and decided to teach the kid a lesson by challenge Mota to a race at the 100m straight track tomorrow, all while destroy the latter's Lord Spirit in piece while he wasn't watching. At Tatsu no Yu, Mota, despite what had went through, spent a whole night repairing his precious car for the race tomorrow. On the next day, Mota arrived at the Nukumizawa Onsen, where a 100 meter straight track had been set up for the race. At the track, Mota pull out the repaired Lord Spirit, which was repaired to a condition of as if it was new. At the start of the race between Mota and Futoshi, Futoshi's car has advantage at the start due to high power motor and various GUPs he equipped into the car. However, Futoshi was surprised to find out that Mota's Lord Spirit, despite being less power than his, start to catch up. Agitated, Futoshi ask Mota on how did Lord Spirit catching up, to which the latter reply: "Everything". Mota reveals that after he finish repairing his Lord Spirit, he tried many configurations and ended up with one setting, and that is to run without touching the fences. In the end, Mota win the race as his Lord Spirit overtake Futoshi's car at the last minute. Futoshi starts crying as he lose the race, but when Mota tries to comfort him and promise to race again someday, he immediately reject and leaves. Meanwhile, Grease Mackenzie, another student in Mota's class who watched the race, think that Mota could be the one that can be the fastest king, the "Mini4King", and think that he should beat the latter while he can. | ||

| At night, several unnamed racers were shivers in fear, seeing their Mini 4WD cars destroyed. There, a person telling the two that the losers shouldn't have the Laser parts. The next day, Mota was met by Grease inside Tatsu no Yu. Grease told him about the rumor about the Laser parts, which could potentially change a car in drastic way. Excited, Mota goes to an abandoned mall where the rumor sourced from, with Grease being forcefully tagged along. There, the two found a large but difficult Reverse Wind Extreme Climb track, operates by a person named Giato. Giato shows his Jadow Jackk, which went through the difficult climb section of the track like nothing. Rather than discouraged, Mota challenge the track, and has his Lord Spirit modified so it can climb easily within the climb section, making Giato surprised.... | ||

| Before the Lord Spirit can finish the climb section, Giato shut off the giant fan as he finally found an worthly opponent in Mota. Giato then proceed to challenge Mota, and the two (and Grease) move to the Super Spiral track for their race. Before the race, Giato tried to offer the Laser Parts of the Jadow cars to Mota, but was intervened by the arrival of a girl. The girl, named herself Tamiko, claim to be the designer of the Lord cars, and stated that the Jadow's Laser parts are not suitable for the Lord cars. She then shows the Laser parts made specifically for the Lord cars, and Mota instinctly choose the right parts for his Lord Spirit. Although he was surprised by how much change was made to his Lord Spirit, Mota had no time to spare and race against Giato and his Jadow Jackk. While Giato's Jadow Jackk has a headstart, Mota's Lord Spirit soon catching up and is in dead heat... | ||

| Mota ended up lose the race because of a small obstacle getting in the way of his Lord Spirit, and demanding a rematch, in which Giato would like to as he wanted to crush Mota. The two were interrupted by Tamiko, who told the two that they should settle their matter in the upcoming Atami Mini 4WD Festival. As Giato leaves, Mota and Tamiko finds that Grease is missing! Grease was soon found and was captured by Mota and Tamiko as they move to the Yamada model shop where he was tasked to clear a difficult curve track located inside the shop. Faced with many kids, Grease retreats to the toilet room, and Mota was told by Tamiko that Grease has social phobia. Grease told Mota that he would mess up his calculation in front of many people around, but Mota decided to barge in the toilet room anyway, telling Grease that, with the Laser parts, he should able to calculate his way out of the track. With the Laser part in his hand, Grease, after went through the calculation, realized that with the parts, his Lord Knight can clear the track, which he eventually do so. Grease, having overcome his obstacle has agreed to enter the Atami Mini 4WD Festival with Mota. | ||

| The Lord team had arrived to Tokyo, and they were stunned by the beautiful view of their new location. They were quickly interrupted by Tamiko, who told them to go to where the race takes place...which turned out to be a public bathhouse. While enjoying the bath, they unexpectedly were meet with Pera, a Yonkdom member. The race, in which putting Tamiko's Lord Jet against Pera's Jadow Punk, started inside the public bathhouse. While Tamiko's car was at disadvantage at the start, it soon catching up to Pera's car and eventually overtakes the latter, winning the race. Having just beaten, Pera give Tamiko a piece of a coin which, when all collected, will allows them to challenge King. | ||

| With Tamiko defeated Pera and got the first piece of the coin, the Lord team moves to the next place where the race takes place: the train. Unfortunately for the team, Mota and Grease got separated from them due to some accident, and the team was then meeting up with their next opponents: Giato and Rola. Neiji got irritated by Rola's views on complex mechanics. The relay race, which takes place inside the Yamanokesen train, has Yonlin and Neiji race against Giato and Rola. Giato's Jadow Jackk has a headstart with Yonlin's Lord Abyss behind, and quickly pass the baton to Rola. Meanwhile, Yonlin apologize to Neiji for not able to catching up with her opponent, but Neiji told her not to worry much. Having got the baton from Yonlin, Neiji's Lord Punch start catching up to Rola's Jadow Grill... Elsewhere, Mota and Grease, who got separated from the rest of the Lord team, were unexpectedly meets Jin, who give them a piece of coin and telling them that he can't race anymore... | ||

| When both Mota and Grease questioning Jin on why he can't race anymore, the latter ignores the two and tries to walk away, only to be provoked by Grease who calling him a loser. Just then, they were interrupted by Q, another member of Yonkdom, who guide them to the race track inside the Tokyo Dome that only consists of curves. Meanwhile, inside the Yamanokesen train, Neiji and Yonrin had win against Rola and Giato. Neiji told Rola that they can go faster thanks to everyone at the Lord team. When the race between Grease and Jin begin, Mota questions Q on why Jin stop racing. Q reveals that King want Jin out of Yonkdom, saying that he doesn't need those who can go faster. During the race, Jin's Jadow Ace have trouble trying to catch up to Grease's Lord Knight as it wasn't build for cornering. Grease told Jin that they, the Lord team, had been racing against each other before going to Tokyo, and had gathers ideas from each others, stated that there's no telling how one can go faster on their own. When all hope seems lost for Jin, Mota, despite being on the opposite team, suddenly give him a hint on how the Jadow Ace can go faster in a spiral curve track. Getting the ideas from Mota's hint, Jin modified his Jadow Ace and have it run on the fence of the track, allowing it to perform the "Ultima Red" driving and catching up to the Lord Knight. Although Jin ended up lose the race, he implies that he doesn't stop racing anytime soon. Immediately following the race, Mota and Grease were reunited with Nejin, Yonrin and Tamiko. With all the coin pieces assembled together to form a coin, Q congrats the Lord team and guides them to where King is... | ||

| With the Lord team defeated other members of the Yonkdom Tokyo, Q guide them to the underground where King is waiting. There, the group meet King and Mota, having promised that he will beat King, challenge King in a 1-on-1 race. The rematch race between Mota and King begin in an uphill race track spanning from the underground to the top of the Tokyo Tower. Despite Mota's Lord Spirit having disadvantage at the start of the race, Mota noticed that King isn't showing any reaction at all. When questioned by Mota, King reveal to Mota that the reason he founded Yonkdom is that in order to get the thrill, he want to find a racer that can defeat him, and so far, he haven't found even one, so he got bored. Though he was surprised to hear what King said, Mota tell him that even though he had lost a few times, he can't say "impossible" because it also mean that it's wasting his time and effort into Mini 4WD racing. In effort to defeat King and his Mini 4WD car, Mota proceed to have his Lord Spirit to perform the "Full Laser" driving and is catching up... | ||

| King was surprised that, despite his car's advantage at the high vertical slope and having going all in, Mota's Lord Spirt is catching up. When asked if he have hide such strength, Mota tells King that he haven't, saying that he know that his Lord Spirit will be able to do it someday, and the Mini 4WD cars are waiting for the next race. Tamiko have never seen the Lord Spirit to go beyond its own specification, and think that the car and Mota are a perfect match. Despite having found a worthy opponent, King still think that the unbeatable racer is the 'King'. In the end, Mota and his Lord Spirit win the race in a dead heat against King's car. Having just lose a race, King tell Mota that both of them keep racing for different reason, with King himself race for trying to find the thrill, while Mota thinking for the next race. King also tell Mota that creating the next era for Mini 4WD racers fitting the title 'Mini4King', and think that Mota and his friends are one... A year later, members of both the Lord Team and Jadow Team would go separate ways. Tamiko now works as a main commentator for the Atami Grand Prix, and think that the Laser parts that his older brother created will create some thrill in this race tournament. A newly formed race team, Team Motor, were consists of former Lord Team members Neiji, Yonrin and Grease, and former Jadow team members Jin and Giato. And leading the team is Mota, who is ready for the next race... | ||
