Mota Kudo (Japanese: 工藤 モー太, Kudō Mōta) is the protagonist of the manga series Mini4King.
Biography[]
Mota is a 13 years-old boy who had just recently moved to Atami. He has a Mini 4WD car Lord Spirit that has been with him since he was young, and treats it as a precious partner. He has a positive, straightforward personality and is passionate about Mini 4WD.
Mota had also displayed extraordinary customization skills, including making his car not touching the fence in the straight track, as well as reducing the wind resistance by drilling holes on the bodyshell at specific locations.

Having recently moved to Atami along with her mom, Mota was transferred to a nearby school. Her mom's employer (and owner of Tatsu no Yu onsen) told him that he should not anger the son of the owner of the Nukumizawa Onsen, a rival onsen.
On the first day at the school, Mota was immediately dragged into and was offered by Futoshi Nukumizawa to have his Mini 4WD car to race of a human bridge, but he declined Futoshi's offer, unknowingly angered Futoshi. While the two agreed to have a race at the Nukumizawa Onsen's 100m race track, Mota was shocked to find that his Lord Spirit was destroyed in piece while he wasn't around. At night, Mota, who is in Tatsu no Yu onsen, rebuild his Lord Spirit and trying various settings in preparation for the race tomorrow.
In the next day, Mota shows up at the Nukumizawa Onsen as promised, and race against Futoshi and his customized Lord Guile in a 100m straight track. Despite seemingly having performance disadvantage against Futoshi's heavily customized car, Mota's Lord Spirit started to catch up. When being questioned by Futoshi on how the Lord Spirit catching up, Mota reveal that he tried every settings right after repair, and settled on a setting where the car's rollers does not hit the fence. Eventually, Mota won the race against Futoshi.
A day later, Mota, who was doing the cleaning at Tatsu no Yu onsen as he usually does, was visited by Grease. Grease tells Mota about the rumored Laser Parts that give a Mini 4WD car massive performance increase, as well as the Demon's Trial. At night, he and Grease visit the abandoned shopping mall where the Demon's Trial takes place, and it is there that they met Giato, a member of the race organization Yonkdom.
Despite doesn't stand a chance against the massive wind at first glance and seeing how Giato's Jadow Jackk performs on the uphill straight section, Mota remains optimistic, and modified his Lord Spirit to have holes opened on the top of the cockpit and at the back of the body, allowing the car to climb as air escapes through the holes. Unfortunately, Giato, who had taken interest of Mota's skill, shut off the fan, angering Mota for interrupting the time trial.
Mota was then challenged by Giato who attempt offer to give the former the Laser Parts before the race, but was interrupted by the visit of Tamiko. Tamiko unveil a set of Laser Parts made specifically for the Lord series, and despite seeing them for the first time, Mota choose the right parts for his Lord Spirit, and was amazed by how his car has changed after the Laser Parts were attached.
Mota, now with his Lord Spirit equipped with the Laser Parts, race against Giato and his Jadow Jackk in a race. Mota ultimately lose the race as a small rock gets in the way during the dead heat at the last section of the track. Unsatisfied, Mota demand the rematch with Giato, only to be stopped by Tamiko who told them to move the rematch to the upcoming Atami Mini 4WD Festival instead. Soon after Giato left, however, both Mota and Tamiko noticed that Grease had went missing.
Mota and Tamiko eventually captures Grease and take him to a shop, where Tamiko task Grease to have his Lord Knight to race on the track. After it backfired and Grease closed himself in the toilet, Mota was told by Tamiko that Grease has social phobia. Hearing this, Mota decided to try to talk him out, even going as far as to barge into the toilet, and tell Grease that he only need to do his best. After managed to convince Grease to enter the festival, the two practices with their cars at the top of Tatsu no Yu onsen before the day Atami Mini 4WD Festival starts.
At the Atami Mini 4WD Festival, Mota was surprised to find out that Tamiko was, in fact, a main commentator for the race event. During the qualifier race, Mota and Grease's cars were smashed off the way by Jin's Jadow Ace and were move to the last position, but later manage to catch up, In the end, Mota's Lord Spirt takes the 3rd place in the qualifier race.
Despite the end result, Mota remains positive, and this had angered Tamiko, who called a group of men and take him to a secret race club where Mini 4WD cars tries to take the other out with head-on collision. Although worried, his car "told" him that it want to run even faster. This led to Mota learning the "Ult Airspear" driving.
Before the second race begin, Mota, having learned the "Ult Airspear" driving technique, claim that his car's straight speed is at 10000.
Despite having modification such as having the tires shaved to its limit. Mota's car has a massive disadvantage at the earlier sections consists of banking curves. Once Lord Spirit enter the long straight section filed with sands, Mota has his car to perform the "Ult Airspear" driving to overtake other cars.
