The Neo-VQS (Japanese: ネオVQS, Neo Buikyūesu) is a Racing Mini 4WD car released by Tamiya on March 28, 2020. It is the first Mini 4WD car to be equipped with the VZ Chassis.
General info[]
A modernized version of the Vanquish Jr., it features a open-wheel body design that sports a sharp short nose on the front, the bargeboards on the sides and a 2-row rear spoiler on the rear. A pair of air-ducts can be found on just behind the canopy.
Standard variant[]
The standard variant features the black body color, with red and silver stripes and carbon-pattern on it.
It was equipped with the red, small diameter low profile Saber-type wheels paired with the black low profile slick tires. Both the chassis frame and A parts were molded in black.
Japan Cup 2020 variant[]
Unlike past Japan cup models, the annual Japan Cup 2020 variant features the polycarbonate bodyshell with plastic mounting.
It was equipped with the small diameter low-profile Y-spoke wheels molded in carbon-mixed nylon and paired with the black super-hard low-profile slick tires. The chassis frame and A parts were molded in fluorescent yellow.
Neo-VQS Advanced Pack[]
Released as a limited edition starter pack, it features the black smoke body color, with the chassis frame molded in black and A parts molded in clear yellow and equipped with low-profile Saber-type wheels.
The Advanced Pack also has tune-up parts meant to be sold seperately for beginners building their first car.
Asia Challenge 2021[]
First released in South Korea as a tie-up for the Asia Challenge 2021, the Asia Challenge 2021 variant features the regine clear blue body color, with AC2021-inspired body decals.
It was equipped with the carbon-mixed nylon small diameter low-profile Saber-type wheels paired with the maroon, low-friction low-profile slick tires. The chassis frame and A parts were molded in periwinkle and white respectively.
Polycarbonate Body Special[]
The Japan Cup-exclusive Polycarbonate Body Special variant features the polycarbonate bodyshell with plastic mounting. Unlike most variants, it comes with the VS Chassis.
It was equipped with the carbon-mixed nylon small diameter low-profile Y-spoke wheels paired with the white, hard-compound low-profile tires. The chassis frame and A parts were molded in light green and white respectively.

Mini 4WD Hyper Dash Grand Prix[]
Despite not having the VZ Chassis implemented at that time, the Japan Cup 2020 variant of the Neo-VQS bodyshell was obtainable through at time-limited gacha in December 2020. The bodyshell skill is Corner Speed+.
Unlike in real-life, the game treat it as a regular plastic bodyshell with the weight being the same as other bodyshells at 16 grams.
