The PowerChamp FD has ceased its production as it was superseded by the PowerChamp GT in 2012.
General info Edit
The exterior of the PowerChamp FD has the two-tone black and gold colors, with the large 'FD' label placed next to the 'PowerChamp' label and the Tamiya label.
The PowerChamp FD battery's external casing has been strengthen to minimizes the power transfer loss due to impacts to the Mini 4WD car. The battery's discharge rate has been increased compare to the PowerChamp GZ, which in turns improves the overall performance of a Mini 4WD car with such batteries in it.
As it is a Alkaline battery, it is heavier than NeoChamp battery (which was released in 2011) and is not cost effective due to being a non-rechargeable battery.
