The PowerChamp RC (Japanese: パワーチャンプRC, Pawāchanpu Ārushī) is the Alkaline battery produced by FDK Corporation, the subsidiary company of Fujitsu and released by Tamiya on March 29, 2008. It was originally made for the R/C system in the R/C vehicle
General info[]
The performance in most area is the same as PowerChamp GZ battery, except that RC has the higher discharge-rate than the others. This change was made due to the R/C transmitter that controls the R/C cars, as it requires electricity from four AA batteries. It can also be used as the batteries for glow-engine-powered R/C vehicles and, of course, for Mini 4WD cars.
The downside, however, is that it has high-self-discharge, meaning its shelf-life is shorter than the others.
Unlike the other batteries, it is only available in 12-batteries pack.
It was discontinued as its roles of powering the R/C transmitter and the glow-engine-powered R/C vehicles was supersedes by PowerChamp GT.
