The PowerChamp RS (Japanese: パワーチャンプRS, Pawāchanpu Āruesu) is the Alkaline battery produced by FDK Corporation, the subsidiary company of Fujitsu and released by Tamiya in 2016.
It is the 10th generation PowerChamp batteries specifically made for Mini 4WD races. It has ceased its production as it was superseded by the PowerChamp RX on November 28, 2020.
General info[]
On the outside, the PowerChamp RS battery's body has the red highlight in place of the blue highlight that the PowerChamp GT has. It has a gold-plated 'PowerChamp' label with a large black 'RS' label below. It has the silver terminal buttons.
Compare to the GT, the PowerChamp RS has 11 percents more stamina and 5 percents more discharge rate. In theory, Its performance is, by any means, slightly above that of Fujitsu's own Premium G battery.
As it is a Alkaline battery, it is heavier than NeoChamp battery and is not cost effective due to being a non-rechargeable battery.
