The Rayvolf (Japanese: レイボルフ, Reiborufu) is a Mini 4WD PRO released by Tamiya in January 2006.
General info
The Rayvolf featuring the low-height, aerodynamic race car design, with the large rear spoiler on the rear and the front nose protruded from the front cowls. It was inspired by the Toyota 92C-V and Lancia LC2 race cars.
The bodyshell, unlike other Mini 4WD cars, was made of clear polycarbonate with plastic mounting attached, meaning it can be painted in any color with spray paint (Usually the special paints for polycarbonate). Because cutting is also required, this makes the assembly of the car harder for those not used to this.

For the normal Rayvolf, the preferred color of the bodyshell is metallic silver, and has the decals that has blue and black highlights with red and white trims.
It was equipped with the red small-diameter 3-spoke VS-type wheels paired with the black X-type narrow slick tires, and is equipped with the N-01 and T-01 units for its MS Chassis. The nose, center and tail parts were molded in black, while the A parts were molded in gray. It comes with the standard, light gray 16 mm lightweight plastic rollers.
Yellow Special
The limited Yellow Special that is only sold at Tamiya Modelers Gallery 2017 features the newly-designed clear-type body decal, the yellow color body mount and the yellow-framed MA Chassis with white A parts.
It was equipped with the black, small diameter Y-spoke wheels with the yellow low-profile tires.
Polycarbonate Body Special variant
