The bodyshell, unlike other Mini 4WD cars, was made of clear polycarbonate with plastic mounting attached, meaning it can be painted in any color with spray paint (using special paints for polycarbonate). The preferred color of the bodyshell is white, and has the splash-style decals that has blue highlights with cyan and pink trims. Because cutting is also required, this makes the assembly of the car harder for those not used to this.

It is equipped with the white small-diameter 3-spoke VS-type wheels paired with X-type narrow slick tires, and is equipped with the N-01 and T-01 units for its MS Chassis. The sub-parts of the chassis were molded in gray. It comes with the standard, light gray 16 mm lightweight plastic rollers.

Both the chassis parts and the bodyshell plastic mounting were molded in glass fiber-mixed plastic, with the chassis sub-parts molded in black. The wheels and tires were changed to the glass fiber-mixed small-diameter dish-type low profile wheels and low profile slick tires. The polycarbonate was pre-painted in white, however cutting is still required.

The TRF-Racer Jr. (TRFワークスJr. TRF Works Jr.) is a Mini 4WD PRO car released by Tamiya on April 29, 2006. It was based on the custom R/C car made by Tamiya Racing Factory R/C racing team, hence there's no base R/C model.

It was featured in the manga Mini 4WD Racer Kakeru as Tsugumi Shinozaki's machine, which was later replaced by the Manta Ray Mk.II. It was also featured as a one-scene cameo in the manga Hyper Dash! Yonkuro.

General info

The TRF-Racer featuring the two-door, touring car body design, with the flat rear cowl. Tamiya and TRF decals can be found on all over the bodyshell.

Limited model

The limited model is mostly the same as the regular model, but with few key differences.
