The Hyundai Avante Sport (Japanese: ヒュンダイアバンテスポート, Hyundai Abante Supōto) is a limited Mini 4WD PRO car that was released by Tamiya in South Korea in July 2017. The TKC version was later released on May 12, 2018 in Japan as event-exclusive.
The minicar was based on the 6th-generation Hyundai Elantra/Avante road car, specifically the Sport variant of the car.
General info[]
Being based on a real-life 4-door sedan, the Avante Sport features more "fluidic sculpture" design. The minicar features the black and silver stripes-styled body decals on the sides, with the car number '05' and the car manufacturer logo overlaying on them. The car manufacturer logo can be sported on the top of the windshield.
It was mainly in white.
It was equipped with the dark silver, small diameter low-profile A-spoke wheels paired with the black low-profile tires. The normal version has the chassis frame and A parts molded in gray and light gray respectively, while the TKC version has its chassis frame and A parts molded in fluorescent yellow and white respectively.
About the Hyundai Elantra/Avante[]
The 6th-generation Hyundai Elantra/Avante, codenamed AD, was introduced in South Korea in September 2015 and later released worldwide at the later dates.
The chassis's rigidity has been strengthened as the use of high-strength low-alloy steel in chassis construction has been raised from 22 percents of the previous generation to 53 percents, all while keep the weight in check.
Engine options includes a new 1.4 L Kappa turbocharged straight-4 petrol engine, two variants of the 1.6 L Gamma straight-4 petrol engine (natural-aspirated and turbocharged), a 2.0 L Nu straight-4 petrol engine and a new 1.6 L U2 turbocharged straight-4 diesel engine, which were mated to either the 6-speed automatic transmission, 6-speed manual transmission or the 7-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission.
