The Toyota 4Runner (Japanese: トヨタ ハイラック サーフ, Toyota Hairakku Sāfu, Toyota Hilux Surf) is a Wild Mini 4WD car that was released on November 24, 1992.

General info[]

The 4Runner features the red-colored, 5-door wagon compact SUV design, with the metallic gray-colored body kit surrounding it. It has yellow strips on the sides, with the word 'Surf' below it.

It was equipped with the standard wild-type wheels with monster truck tires.

About the 2nd-generation Toyota Hilux Surf/4Runner[]

The second-generation N120/N130 models were introduced in 1989 for the 1990 model year. It supersedes the first-generation N60 models. It is available in 2-door and 4-door body designs and has 2WD and 4WD variants.

Depends on the markets, the SUV is powered by either the Y-series engines (2.0 liter 3Y straight-4 and 2.2 liter 4Y straight-4), the 2.4 liter 22R-E straight-4 engine, the 3.0 liter 3VZ-E V6 engine, the 2.0 liter 2L series straight-4 turbo-diesel engines, the 2.8 liter 3L straight-4 diesel engine and the 3.0 liter 1KZ-T/TE straight-4 turbo-diesel engine, which were mated to either 5-speed manual gearbox or the 4-speed A340H automatic gearbox.

It was later replaced by the third-generation N180 model in 1995.
