The Toyota Land Cruiser (Team ACP) (Japanese: トヨタ ランドクルーザー (チームACP パリダカ仕様), Toyota Rando Kurūzā (Chīmu E ̄ shi ̄ pi ー paridaka shiyō)) is a Original Mini 4WD that was released on July 29, 1989.

It was based on Team ACP Tamiya's own Toyota Land Cruiser J70 Dakar rally car that was used in the Dakar Rally.

General info

The Land Cruiser rally car features the 2-door classical SUV design, with a pair of circle-shaped headlamp on the front. The car's bodyshell has the tricolor of white, red and blue, with the cyan strips. Various real-life sponsor's decals (Tamiya included) can be found on around the bodyshell.

It was equipped with the special set of wheels and tires that were designed for it.

About the real-life vehicle the Mini 4WD car is based on

Team ACP participates into the Group T2.2 (diesel-only) class race in the Dakar Rally with the Toyota Land Cruiser. As cars in Group T2 is the near-stock car class, the BJ74V J70 Land Cruiser was only modified to includes additional lamps.

The BJ74V is a medium-wheelbase, 2-door variant of the J70 series, and is powered by Toyota's 3.5 liter 13B-T straight-4 turbo-diesel engine which is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
