The Toyota Land Cruiser 100 Wagon VX Limited G-Selection (Japanese: トヨタ ランドクルーザー100ワゴン VXリミテッドGセレクション, Toyota Randokurūzā Ichihyaku Wagon Biiekkusu Rimiteddo Jii Serekushon) is a Original Mini 4WD car released by Tamiya in January 1998.

It was based on the VX Limited G-Selection trim model of the conform-orientated J100 Land Cruiser by Toyota.

General info[]

The Wagon features the long, wagon-based SUV body design, with a pair of angled headlamps on the front, a pair of angled vertical taillamps on the rear along with a spare tire prop on the back door. Also presented is a black bullbar with additional lamps, something that wasn't presented in the real-life vehicle. Unlike most Original Mini 4WD, the Wagon has the black roof racks on its bodyshell.

It was mainly in white body color, with blue and light blue stripes on it.

It was equipped with the silver, 5-spoke VX wheels paired with the black RV radial tires. The chassis frame and A parts were molded in black.

About the Toyota Land Cruiser[]

Launched in January 1998, the J100 series Land Cruiser is Toyota's full-size SUV. It is the 4th-generation conform-orientated Land Cruiser model and supersedes the J80 model before it. The J100 series Land Cruiser was also sold in the US and Canada under the Lexus brand as Lexus LX 470.

Powering the car are the series of Toyota engines; On the petrol engine, there's a 4.5 liter 1FZ-FE inline-6 engine and a 4.7 liter 2UZ-FE V8 engine (which is shared with the LX 470). On the diesel engines, there's a 4.2 liter 1HZ inline-6 engine, a 4.2 liter 1HD-T turbocharged inline-6 engine and a 4.2 liter 1HD-FTE turbocharged inline-6 engine. The engine is mated to either a 4-speed automatic, a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic gearbox, which sends the power to all four wheels through its full-time four-wheel-drive drivetrain.

Supporting the SUV's chassis is the double-wishbones suspension at the front, and the solid axle trailing arms with stabilizer bars at the back. Braking power is provided by the ventilated disc brakes on all four wheels.

The J100 series Land Cruiser was later superseded by the J200 series in 2007.
